The Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine is designed to address the country’s growing needs of vets as most Somalis are pastoralists and Somalia’s economy heavily depends on livestock. This program is prepared to train personnel with the requisite knowledge and skills to work as veterinary surgeons, animal scientists and nutritionists, veterinary pharmacists, public health officers and epidemiologists.

This degree program responds to the emerging needs in Somalia and the region by addressing animals in the Arid and Semi-Arid regions, emphasizing acquisition of practical skills including entrepreneurship. At the end, the students will be well equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the market expectations.
